Imitation Word Cover Plate Dies

Hello friends! I’m back to share another project!

Cover plate dies with bold words are really popular right now. I’ve seen so many great idea shared by several creators. Unfortunately, I don’t have any of these dies in my stash, so I did the next best thing. I made my own!

So, what is my opinion on these cover plate dies? Well, their simple designs, yet bold font makes any card made with them standout. I do believe that some of the specific sentiments can limit you to a few occasions. If you are drawn to these types of dies, consider the more generic statements like “Sending Best Wishes” over “Happy Birthday”. With the best wishes option you can use it for a number of occasion all year round.

How can you achieve this look without a cover die? I used my Cricut to make this Naughty or Nice panel, but there is one other way that you can make it and that’s by using alphabet dies. It may be a little time consuming, but if you have alphabet dies in your stash you don’t need to get these cover dies or an electric die cut machine. AND you are not limited by sentiment.

To see how I created this card, you can watch my video in two parts here:
