Hey everyone! I hope life is treating you well this week. The project I’m sharing today was inspired by the background stamp by Hero Arts.

I’ve had this stamp, Presents Background, for sometime and I loved the repeating style of gift boxes. It’s a bonus that the patter is really versatile for almost any occasion.

I wanted to play off the lines in the stamp and create modern looking shapes. I didn’t want to over complicate the design. The end result were three boxes, that were different from each other, but echoed the same style. I made sure to showcase them by placing a piece of vellum as a backdrop. This highlighted the boxes, but the same time didn’t take away from the loveliness of the original stamp because of vellums translucent qualities.
