Just Because It Say Halloween, Doesn’t Mean You Can’t Use It for Something Else

Welcome back! I hope you’ve had a great day. Today I’m sharing another creation showing you how to get more out of your supplies.

Recently, I was at the store and it made me laugh to see the store decorated for Halloween and selling Christmas items at the same time. Commercialism isn’t always subtle, but it did make me thing. Wouldn’t it be fun to somehow create something for Christmas using supplies for Halloween, or the other way around?

I went home, and after putting away the groceries, I dove into my stash to see if I could find something that stretched my creative thinking. Human beings tend to have very suggestive perspective that are influenced by how things appear. Our perceptions are heavily influenced by colors and the context images are presented to us, but often enough, if you change those parameters, you can change perception.

I was hoping to find an image that was simple that I could either build on to create a completely new impression of it. As luck would have it, I had recently used the Witch Feet stamp set from Hero Arts in a previous video and it was waiting to be put away. The images of the feet were simple enough, that I thought I could achieve my goal of creating a new perception of them through color and adding some detail. It didn’t take me long to transform my witch feet to elf feet and accomplish my goal; just because it was created for something, doesn’t mean you have to use it for just that purpose.
