Hello again. It is day ten of the 12 Day of Christmas in November. Today I’m sharing another ink blended card. If you’re like me, sometime you get self-conscious presenting the same technique over and over again. You don’t want to seem boring. The thing is, you can come back to the same technique over and over again and find different ways of showcasing it so that you get that “wow” factor. A shaker card is perfect for this.
In today’s card, I create a single layer ink blended background. I color a number of images, and then mask them to protect the coloring when I ink blend. The result is stunning; a beautiful scenic winter scene with Santa flying up high in a star and snowy filled sky made with splatter and ink specks. The panel could have easily been a fanatic card on its own, but to add something special, I make it into the shaker card. This interactive element just takes the card to the next level and what you may have thought was a boring technique is not a show stopper.
