Simple and Clean Easter Card with a Gold Foiled Cricut Sentiment

Hello crafty friends! This week I’m sharing a simple and clean card for Easter. This card was really easy to create, however I had to work my way backwards from my usual creative process.

Unlike most cards, I had to start off with planning the base of the card and the sentiment first and then build the images around it. I created a gold foiled sentiment using the Cricut. I had to use the machines program to map out the layout of the card, so that the sentiment ended up in the right spot. Once I hand my sentiment, I die cut the panels and then went on to stamping and coloring my images.

I really wanted to create a minimalistic card that was simple without too much distraction. I used a very simple layout so where the bunny images from Avery Elle would take the center stage in the layout. The Peek-a-boo window from My Favorite Things really helped in creating the look I was going for, and the stitched details added a nice finished look.

I kept my coloring very simple for this card. Both bunnies were colored in the same warm white tones with pink cheeks. Any details were also very subtle in light pastel colors. The brightest part of the card was the background, a blend of two distress oxide ink colors, to make the images of the bunnies pop.

Over all, I feel like this card matches the intended season. It’s light and fresh with a touch of cute. For details on how I created this card, you can see the YT Video here:
