Holiday Card Series
It’s that time of year again. I love hearing the music and seeing the decorations going up for the holidays; the lights, the trees, and the ornaments. Last year, I created a Holiday Card Series, although it started earlier, and I enjoyed it so much. I decided to do one this year too.
To start off, I created a floating elements card using the Layered Mittens from Pretty Pink Posh. I ink blended the layers using Distress Oxide Inks in a not-so-traditional color pallet using Salvaged Patina, Uncharted Mariner, and Villainous Potion. I enjoy making these cards that capture the spirit of the season, colorful and fun, yet they can be given to anyone no matter what their denomination maybe.
I cut our the individual mittens out with the help of my Brother Scan N Cut and then floated them across my card panel using foam dots. I used Press N Seal wrap to help me move all my mittens at once and lifted them from the surface before applying the dots to the back, however the mittens could have been applied one at a time.
