Day Ten: No Stamping Snowflake Card

Holiday Card Series

Hello again everyone! Welcome back to Day Ten of my Holiday Card Series. Today’s card is for those of us that love die cutting. This design is great for mass production.

I used two dies from Paper Rose Studio, the Snowflake Set 1 die and the Winter Wishes Chunky die, and the Simon Says Stamp Crystal Distortion embossing folder to create this card.

I started by embossing a minty green piece of cardstock using the Crystal Distortion folder. The cardstock I used is from Recollections and is an assorted pack called Mint Hues. This is a rather thin cardstock, but since I used a heavy card base, it holds up fine. I trimmed down the panel by quarter of an inch so that there would be a white boarder in the finished card.

Next I die cutting my elements. I die cut a snowflake from glitter cardstock and several plain white snowflakes to add dimension to the glitter one. I layered these snowflakes using liquid glue and made sure to place them under something heavy while they dried. For the sentiment, I used the Winter Wishes Chunky die. This die has a very clean look to it and comes with a shadow die. I cut the words from a silver metallic cardstock, and the shadow from a white cardstock. I attached the single word layer to the show layer using liquid glue.

I attacked my embossed panel to my card base using foam tape and assembled the remainder pieces using liquid glue. After putting the card together, I decided to place some gems on the card front for an added touch of sparkle.
